Lucas is net gescheiden. Hij heeft een nieuwe baan bij de plaatselijke kleuterschool, een nieuwe vriendin en kijkt uit naar het bezoek van zijn zoon Marcus tijdens de Kerst. Maar de kerstgedachte is opvallend afwezig. Klara, een 5-jarige leerling, beschuldigt Lucas van misbruik. De kleuterschool is in diepe schok en al gauw worden er vermoedens gewekt jegens Lucas. Wanneer het verhaal zich door het dorp verspreidt begint de kleine gemeenschap al snel uiteen te vallen.
